a. Prosperity comes from the hand of God. 10;22.

²²The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Deut 28:

Do not put your trust in your prosperity.

11:28.

To trust in riches is to distrust God.

¹⁶This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

We give to receive.

Phill. 3:18

…… I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. ¹⁹But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

3:9&10.

⁹Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: ¹⁰So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

We Give to prove our faithfulness. He grows up His stewards.

Matt. 25

²¹ His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord

We give because giving is what we do best.

30: 7-9

We should never pray for more than we can be faithful with.
