Principles of Prosperity from Proverbs.

Greed is good greed is right
greed captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.
How
do we gain Prosperity.
a.
Prosperity comes from the hand of God. 10;22.
22The blessing of the LORD, it maketh
rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Deut 28:
1And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt
hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to
do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God
will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2And all these
blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt
hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. 3Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4Blessed
shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the
fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and
the flocks of thy sheep. 5Blessed shall be thy basket and thy
store. 6Blessed
shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt
thou be when thou goest out. 7The
LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against
thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way,
and flee before thee seven ways. 8The LORD shall command the
blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest
thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land
which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 9The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if
thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God,
and walk in his ways. 10And all people of the earth shall see that
thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. 11And
the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in
the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the
LORD sware unto thy fathers
to give thee. 12The LORD
shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy
land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine
hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou
shalt not borrow. 13And the LORD shall
make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt
be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that
thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee
this day, to observe and to do them: 14And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command
thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after
other gods to serve them.
b.
Prosperity comes by Honesty and integrity.
Not the end but the means.
Proverbs 22:1
1A good name is rather to be chosen than
great riches, and loving favour rather than
silver and gold.
16:8
8Better is a little with righteousness than
great revenues without right.
15:6
6In the house of the righteous is much treasure:
but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
11: 1
1A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but
a just weight is his delight.
11A just weight and balance are
the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are his work.
28:6
6Better is the poor that walketh
in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though
he be rich.
C.
Prosperity comes by Hard work
and Diligence.
11Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished:
but he that gathereth by labour
shall increase.
The lazy
person.
26:
13The slothful man saith,
There is a lion in the way; a lion is
in the streets.
14As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon
his bed.
15The slothful hideth his hand
in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it
again to his mouth.
16The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than
seven men that can render a reason.
How
to Govern of
Prosperity.
Do not put your trust in your prosperity.
28He that trusteth in his
riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
To trust in riches is to
distrust God.
Ps 62:10
….. if riches increase, set
not your heart upon them.
Don’t trust the gift, Trust the Giver.
How to Give away your prosperity.
Why do we
give to honor God.
3:9
9Honour the
LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of
all thine increase:
Deut 26:
1And it
shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest
therein; 2That thou shalt take of the
first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt
bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee,
and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose
to place his name there. 3And thou shalt
go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess
this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us. 4And the
priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and
set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God. 5And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready
to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned
there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous: 6And
the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard
bondage: 7And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the
LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour,
and our oppression: 8And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with
a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and
with signs, and with wonders: 9And he hath brought us into this
place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth
with milk and honey. 10And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me.
And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and
worship before the LORD thy God: 11And thou shalt
rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee,
and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the
stranger that is among you.
12When thou hast made an end of
tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third
year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the
Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within
thy gates, and be filled; 13Then thou shalt
say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine
house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the
fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast
commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I
forgotten them: 14I have not eaten thereof in my mourning,
neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use,
nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the
voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast
commanded me. 15Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and
bless thy people
16This day
the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
We give to
receive.
Phill.
…… I am full,
having received of Epaphroditus the things which
were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a
sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19But my God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
3:9&10.
9Honour
the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits
of all thine increase: 10So shall thy
barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
We Give to prove our faithfulness. He grows up His stewards.
Matt. 25
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou
good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will
make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord

Conclusion:
The Prayer of Prosperity.
30: 7-9
7Two things
have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: 8Remove far from me vanity and
lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for
me: 9Lest I be full, and deny
thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in
vain.
We should never pray for more than we can be faithful
with.
